SUSTAINABILITY AND STYLE COME TOGETHER AT KEEN x GRIND ONE AYALA LAUNCH

What happens when sustainability meets the trendiest fits and fashion? It makes for an epic launch event! That’s what went down at THREADS: Sustainability Meets Style, the KEEN x GRIND launch at the GRIND One Ayala store last Friday, August 30, 2024.
The event celebrated the launch of GRIND Philippines’ first-ever sustainable store at the One Ayala Mall in Makati City, as well as the in-store launch of KEEN Philippines, the latest addition to GRIND’s collection of sustainable brands and one of the comfiest and most stylish brands to hit the Philippines’ footwear scene.

In attendance at the event were some of the country’s most popular content creators like Rhea Bue and Jeff Ong, Yael Arevalo, JP De Leon, Kasper, Dos Quidangen, Paolo Salgado, JM Obien, and Chloe Fernandez, as well as members of the media namely Vogue Philippines, Nylon Manila, When In Manila, and 8List.ph. It was an afternoon of exciting activities and informative talks, which kicked off with guests flaunting their outfits with the help of a human Glambot, before getting to go on a quick store tour to see and appreciate the GRIND One Ayala branch.
GRIND Philippines Brand Officer Kent Villacarlos and Marketing Officer Vincent Gonzalez then welcomed the guests and gave their opening remarks before sharing what the GRIND brand is all about. Afterwards, Architect Nina Fianza and IDr. Jonjon Jardenil joined the GRIND team to talk about how the brand’s first-ever sustainable store came to be, the inspiration behind it, and the materials that were used to bring it to life.

  

To celebrate the in-store launch of KEEN Philippines, Brand Officer Bianca Cerdenia introduced the stylish, comfortable, and sustainable footwear brand that has been making waves in the Philippine fashion scene. This was followed by Fashion Stylist and Influencer Jana Silao sharing some tips on styling and color-blocking outfits with KEEN footwear. The guests were also given an opportunity to do fit checks and create their own content inside the GRIND One Ayala store.

 What makes GRIND Philippines’ first-ever sustainable branch in One Ayala one-of-a-kind is that it reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability, as it features store modules — such as furniture, display fixtures, and decor items — that have been creatively crafted with about 70 to 100 percent of the materials coming from upcycled or recycled sources.
